Accomplishments:

• Focus on security strategy of organization, including upleveling enterprise security technology, appsec, cloud security, and security awareness.
• Implemented foundational zero-trust security software stack for growing organization: Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Okta, Intune.
• Ownership of production cloud environment supporting a highly-available, autoscaling platform within AWS using Kubernetes.
• Development and implementation of automation processes running on orchestration platforms which simplify employee technology tasks.

2020 - 2022

Provides VIP IT support to clients including the University's President, Provost, Chief Administrator, Senior Vice Presidents, and others. Assists with system administration and coordination of equipment, services, meetings, events, and planning of University IT functions.

Accomplishments:

• Transformed departmental IT with technology and process improvements.
• Automated inventory and client management using Microsoft on-prem and cloud tools and automations.
• Created homegrown hardware/software solution for facilitating work-from-home in traditionally in-person positions such as reception.
• Created helpdesk function from scratch supporting 250+ clients and various University VIP individuals.

2014 - 2020

Oversaw library technology for multiple branch locations. Wrote policy, made purchase recommendations, and implemented equipment to maintain the library as a state-of-the-art resource for rural county residents.

Accomplishments:

• Managed IT department and supported technology that provided for 200,000 annual patrons.
• Led all levels of incident management for over 100 public, staff, and server devices.
• Implemented library smartcard payment system for late fines, copy services, and book purchases.
• Planned and executed massive technology refreshes involving hardware and OS upgrades to keep security compliance.
• Successfully mitigated state-wide ransomware attack in branch locations.
• Provided free computer skills education to rural county residents, and encouraged computer literacy among patrons.

2018 - 2019

Instructed college-level classes including IT Associates degree programs, A+, Network+, and Security+ certification courses. Developed lesson plans and assisted with cirriculum expansion.
